Lean Manufacturing Experience

This one-day learning experience is an excellent example of how through standard work, teamwork, communication and collaboration a team can become significantly more productive and cost effective whilst improving quality and identifying and reducing safety issues.

Using Caterpillar Production System methodologies the principles & practices learnt during this hands-on, interactive session can be transferred to all work environments and covers the following:

  • Team building
  • Communication
  • Planning
  • Team collaboration
  • Leading Effective Teams
  • Continuous Improvement (Lean manufacturing including 5S)
  • Flexible Production Systems
  • Visual Management
  • Standardised Work
  • Flow Process Analysis
  • 6 Sigma methodologies


Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included along with a certificate of course completion. Price On Application

Participants must be able to:

  • Stand for minimum periods of 45-60 minutes
  • Perform repetitive hand motions for periods of 30 minutes or more
  • Lift and carry 10lbs objects
  • Lift and use hand-powered tools of 8lbs (training will be given)

Participants are required to:

  • Wear comfortable clothing (jeans are permitted)
  • Wear (preferred) steal toe or hard shoe soles (toe caps are available on site)
  • Wear safety glasses (available on site)
  • Wear hearing protection (available on site)
  • Wear watch & belt protectors (available on site)
